From Boston and Points South:

Take Rt. 95 to the Spaulding Turnpike/Rt. 16 in Portsmouth, NH and follow it to Conway, NH. From Conway, follow Rt. 302 East to Fryeburg, and then take Rt. 5 North. Continue on Rt. 5 about 2 ½ miles past the Fryeburg Fairground, until you cross the Saco River at Canal Bridge. Immediately north of the bridge, take your first right on a small dirt road. It is easily identified during the day by the Fiddlehead sign; at night there is a light by the roadside.

From the West:

Take Rt. 302 through North Conway to Fryeburg, then bear left onto Rt.

From the North:

Well, sometimes Maine’s road network doesn’t make it easy to get here from there. The most scenic way would be to start from Rt. 2 around Gilead (right at the ME/NH border) and go south through Evans Notch along Rt. 113. Turn left on Fish Street in North Fryeburg, and turn right on Rt. 5 when Fish Street ends there. Fiddlehead will be the dirt road on the left just before the bridge over the Saco River. It is easily identified during the day by the Fiddlehead sign at the gate; at night there is a light by the roadside.
